ABOUT ME
The product of a modest, Midwestern upbringing in Greater Chicago, I’ve always been a woman on the move. My parents put all their extra income into travel, whether a special trip to the Caribbean or an improvised four-week “vacation” while my father visited customers on sales calls.
After attending the University of Dayton as an undergraduate, I returned to Chicago to secure my MBA from Loyola University, and then launched my first career at Andersen Consulting (Accenture). At Andersen, I reignited my love for global cultures, spending a year working a project in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Upon return to the U.S., my husband and I were often on the road so I was always arranging fun rendezvous, sometimes as far as Europe and Asia.
But my true passion for travel planning took flight as a mother, raising my three beautiful children for more than 20 years. I wanted to make sure they understood the enormity of our world and the beauty of cultural diversity. So, I found unique homestay and cultural immersion trips in Costa Rica and Spain; canyoning adventures in Italy; soccer experiences in France; cliffside trekking experiences in Puerto Rico; and hiking, beach and lake trips to every corner of the U.S. I’ve been fortunate to make lifelong friends in many parts of the world which help me go the extra mile to find the special places and adventures few seem to know about.
Working at Largay Travel is an opportunity to put my love of travel and culture to work for others.
